SGR ticket prices – Madaraka Express passenger Train
Economy class (one-way) ticket: Sh1,000 (adults)
Economy class (one-way) ticket for children between 3 – 11 years : shs. 500
Economy class (one-way) ticket for children below 3 years : Free
First class (one-way ) ticket price : Sh3,000 adults)
First class (one-way ) ticket price for children between 3 – 11 years : shs. 1500
First class (one-way ) ticket price for children below 3 years : Free
SGR Fares to and from stop over destinations
Here are the SGR ticket prices for those travelling to any of the stop overs using the inter-county train (Keep in mind that the express train doesn’t make any stops along the SGR line)

Note that SGR charges parking fees for cars coming to any of the various SGR terminus, unlike in the past when parking was free.
Can I get a refund after paying for SGR ticket prices?
Yes, but you have to place your request to cancel your SGR tickets booking at least 46 hours ahead of your schedule departure and 72 hours for groups.
The refund will, however, be subjected to a 30% deduction.
In addition, your tickets must still be in good condition to qualify for a refund.
You should lodge your application for refunds with your nearest SGR terminus or through the portal.
